History

The Robotech line of CardFigures was my first attempt to make smaller figures since I wanted the pilots to fit into a transformable Veritech Fighter. In order to still have some detail and cut them out of cardboard, they were about 8 inches tall. This made the Veritech Battloid robot mode almost 3 feet tall after transformation.  It’s big and bulky but cardboard is light. Velcro holds most of it in position during transformation. I will post those images and video soon.

I should have made more characters like Captain Gloval, Minmei, Dana Sterling and the Hover Tank, Zor, Lancer, and the Invid. Maybe I'll find some time to make these and show you the full process.

There are plenty of ways that modern software can make them look even better but then they wouldn’t fit into what I made 30 years ago. The new characters would need to be made the original way.
