Jean Grey

History

Jean Grey has the powers of telekinesis and telepathy with her power showing as energy from her forehead. I don't remember why I made it green as most of her powers in the comics are shown as pink. Her power utilizes the same sliding mechanism as Cyclops and Wolverine but spreads out at the top to show an energy burst.

I had to extend some of the clear contact paper to make the power slide out and in easily. A metal fastener at the bottom allows for the spreading open of her power at the top. She has plenty of hair to hide it out of the way. I didn't think of also making her fly until the other flying female characters were made.

The 5 inch ToyBiz action figure that came out at the same time was only of Phoenix but not her '90s costume. The 10 inch version was her correct costume but was also a repaint of Rogue.

This was the first female character made and I chose to make them facing to the side. A side view looked better than the front facing to me and captured the essense of a comic book female pose.
